Our House

At Summer House we do things a little bit differently from many other drug treatment centers. First of all, we don't believe in letting you suffer inordinately. We employ a twenty-four hour nursing staff that will meticulously tend to your physical needs. You arent required to attend groups all day while you're detoxing. There are group counseling sessions available for your benefit, but they are optional. You will also have ample opportunities to meet in a one on one setting with our therapists. We believe in treating you with respect and allowing you your due process of growth, which we realize, differs from person to person.

Summer House is known for its Narcotic Reduction Detox, which is effective in withdrawing individuals in a relatively comfortable manner from Heroin, Methadone, Alcohol, Oxycontin, Xanax, Valium, Cocaine, Crack, Buprenex, Lorcet, Percocet, Vicotin, Klonipin, Ativan, and nearly any other drug that may be in circulation. In addition to Narcotics, we also provide a sophisticated vitamin and amino acid protocol, which drastically curtails the Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS). We strongly encourage our patients to make use of our hydrotherapy regime. We also offer the services, upon request, of a massage therapist. Located in Tropical South Florida, Summer House rests on the water therefore allowing you the benefit of fishing, nature watching and sunbathing. Realizing the importance of proper nutrition, Summer House employs a four-star chef who takes great pains in making sure that you receive tasty non-institutional meals made from all natural foods.

We have a staff that is dedicated to our values of compassion, dignity, privacy, and professionalism. Our medical director, Dr. Mark Willner has over ten years of experience in addiction treatment and psychiatric care. Discharge planning is an essential part of our services as setting up an aftercare plan that you can live with and follow is key to setting up long-term recovery. Our staff educates the familys of our patients about the disease of alcoholism and addiction. Our nursing team is highly experienced in treating alcoholism and addiction and in providing substance abuse treatment and detoxification services. The Summer House staff is composed of compassionate, dedicated professionals working together towards your goal of recovery from addiction and alcoholism.

Our house is set up to make you feel right at home. The lighting is dim and tasteful. The furniture consists of comfortable leather couches placed directly facing our full satellite television system. You may smoke as often as you need to in the designated smoking sections. There are no restrictions on sugar or caffeine, and you are free to bring your cellular phones and laptop computers. There are Twelve Step recovery meetings nightly. Many of our alumni are active in recovery and are welcome to attend our in meetings. Our living quarters are spacious and comfortable. The cold clinical environment found in many detox centers is absent at Summer House. We honor our patient's privacy and confidentiality at all costs. We do not force anyone to wake up at any particular hour, as we know that sleep is precious during drug and alcohol detoxification.

At Summer House we have created a liberal, yet therapeutic environment whose sole aim is to act as a stepping-stone in your road to freedom from active alcoholism and drug addiction. We have created the ideal setting for you to begin your process of COMPLETE LIBERATION FROM CHEMICALS.

WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER OUR SERVICES AT A SURPRISINGLY AFFORDABLE RATE . . .
